(Costco) Seems like this one is a proper Jack,
is it a good price for what you get? Price equivalent in dollars 128.8
Is Arcan a good known brand for Jacks?

Dunno. It's a bit spendy here but I'm not sure what a reasonable price in Mexico might be.

If that's the same big, red one that they sell in the Costcos here in the states, then that's a solid jack for the money. Very heavy, but it more than gets the job done.

Do you remember what they cost here in the US? I haven't seen one at my Costcos for a little while (they come and go) but am thinking about getting one next time.

A jack is a jack, I know people who have gone many years on $60 harbor freight jacks. Just make sure you use jackstands no matter what the quality of the jack.

You can buy a 4 ton jack for like 180 bucks, so a 3 1/4 ton jack for 128 seems reasonable.

Right around $100-120. Bought one for a buddy using my membership and I've been sorely tempted to pick one up myself ever since; we've used it a few times and it seems to be durable, powerful, and doesn't require 8000 pumps to get the car up to height. One seriously heavy mamma-jamma, though.

Yeah, it's probably good.
Are there any Harbor Freight stores there? They have even better prices for a great jack.
I got mine for $70, and it's awesome. It might cost more than that where you are, but likely less than Arcan.

Unless your car is big/heavy, just get a cheap jack and some nice jackstands and/or wheel ramps.

It can be heavy, won't ever leave my garage. I'll probably get one soon as they usually show up around Christmastime. I generally get one for my dad, he kills jacks like crazy.

If you are going to keep it for a long time, buy a quality jack from a reputable brand. I bought mine here http://www.milwaukeejack.com/ - it will last a lifetime and I will likely be able to pass it on to my child. When I put my order in they were booked solid for a while filling order for the local Caterpillar factory.
In this case- you get what you pay for.

You have had good experience with Big Red Jacks? I had one where the main seal went and their customer service basically ignored me. Local jack company laughed at me when I asked if it could be rebuilt. Ended up buying a more expensive one and heavier duty one that you could get parts for.
